They’re one of the few original couples to make it to the end of the experiment, but it seems as though things are heading south for Married At First Sight’s Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli.

Woman’s Day is reporting the pair is growing apart following Martha’s portrayal as the villain on the show.

The magazine published photos of the pair looking strained at a cafe in Sydney’s Chatswood after the finale aired on Tuesday last week.

One onlooker said:

“They both looked really uncomfortable and stressed…The chemistry you see on TV just wasn’t there.”

Another source reportedly told the publication Martha was “blindsided” by the backlash she’s faced since the show began airing.

They added that the “trolling and criticism” has taken a toll on the pair and it won’t be long before they’re done for good.

“Things have gone from bad to worse [for Martha and Michael] since the finale.”

“She is in a really bad place… and has struggled with all the criticism.”

Martha has reportedly been unable to work as a freelance makeup artist due to safety concerns so she’s been “depending on Michael” financially.

The insider added:

“Their relationship has taken a major hit with the pressures from the show. I don’t think they’ll be able to sustain this at all.”

Honestly, we’re just surprised they made it this far!
